Dogs are one of the most empathetic creatures in the world. They can feel the joy, sorrows and agonies of their human masters and the best thing is that they know how to react to those emotional states. I am sure that you would have heard of dogs who were trained to treat patients in various conditions. Especially, some dogs can feel when their human’s sugar level goes up, or when they are having a seizure and therefore, despite being the best buddy of humans, dogs are also great as care-givers.
However, it is not only well-trained dogs who can do these tricks. Even the dog friends in the streets are equally compassionate and we recently heard of a beautiful story that shows how empathetic dogs can be.
There was an adorable interruption to a group of street actors during one of their performances in Turkey. The group was playing their latest play and there was a scene where Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy’s character had to lay down and play the role of someone injured. We guess his performance was genuine because this adorable dog from the streets immediately came for his help. ‘Unlike many other humans who were watching the scene without doing anything to help the ‘injured man’, this lovely dog was quick to respond and luckily, one person captured the whole scene on the camera.
He approached the injured man, licked his face and tried to give some comfort to the injured person.
The actor says that,
“The character I played was injured and in great pain,” said Uzunsoy . “He’d fallen off a horse, and was breathing hard”. Then the dog came and interrupted the performance.
“I felt warmth on my face. First, I thought my costar was approaching me,” Uzunsoy said. He was wrong. I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses,” Uzunsoy said. “I was very touched. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was not expecting it.”
