We all love the superheroes in movies who save innocent people’s lives with their superpowers. But, some real-life heroes risk their lives even without superpowers to save others and the stories of such heroes should be highly appreciated and admired.

Asha is a golden retriever who lives with her owner Kerry McKinnon in Strathdownie in Western Victoria Australia. Asha has always been a kind and adorable dog but Kerry was recently too overwhelmed by the bravery of her beloved pet.
It was one of the coldest winters for them and the temperature at night can even drop below five Celsius. So, all these animals have to protect themselves from the cold and this is extra hard for the animals with a little coat to cover them.

So, Asha decided to provide warmth to a little abandoned Koala baby and when Kerry woke up in the morning, she was rather astonished by the sight of Asha with a Koala.

Kerry explained the scene as follows:

“It was quite early in the morning, and my husband yelled out to me to come to have a look at something. I didn’t know what he was talking about at first, but then I saw this tiny baby koala snuggled on top of Asha.”

“I just burst out laughing. Poor Asha didn’t know what to think; she just kept looking at me with such a confused look. She looked a bit guilty when I came out to see what was going on. Her expression was hilarious.”

However, it is still a puzzle about how the koala baby ended up in their home.

“He would have just wandered over to our back porch and seen the dogs in their beds, then decided to snuggle in Asha’s fur because it’s nice and warm.”

Kerry also added that,

“Asha saved the koala’s life by keeping him warm. He would have died out there if left alone all night. The poor thing could have been taken by a fox or something too. However, it wasn’t easy” separating the two, as the koala put up a “huge fuss” when she tried to remove it from Asha’s back.
