We all think that age is a barrier to realize our dreams. When someone is old, we think that they no longer enjoy their lives and they are having a very bored and a monotonous life. But Jenny Darren who is 68 years old proved that age is just a number by her wonderful performance in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ recently.
She is a retired lady from Birmingham but now she lives in Cotswolds. She has lived her entire life with music and she loves rock and blues than anything. In her good old days, she was a huge AC/DC supporter and she has even released her own albums, with features including celebrities like the Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrian.
This inspirational lady has been singing since the age of 12 and at one point, she has decided to give up on her rock-life and devote some time to classical jazz music. However, she could explore in different music genres and that is why we said her entire life has been music!
Jenny’s appearance on ‘Britains Got Talent’
Jenny performed the AC/DC classic hit “Highway to Hell” on Britains Got Talent stage and her amazing singing led to a standing ovation during the second audition.
She started by requesting the audience to “bear with her” and her next move was quite unexpected and beautiful and I’ am so sure that everyone was amazed by it. She was wearing a typical cardigan as a good old granny and she removed it suddenly revealing a black t-shirt, leather skirt, and boots.
However, the best part happened during her opening beat. Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden put on their ‘shocked’ faces as none of them thought this old lady can do this sort of a miracle.
More than anything, seeing Simon Cowell shocked itself is enough to know that what you are watching is something special! So, click the video below and see the way this iron lady fire the stage!
