Girl Captured A Video Of Her Cat Dancing

TikTok is a social media platform that provides us all with some much-needed entertainment. One of the current trends that has taken TikTok by storm is lip-syncing the 1954 Mr. Sandman song by the Chordettes using the 9-split filter. A user going by the name Enoch True started this trend a few months ago. The video had been able to garner 22.5 million views on the platform.

Both successful as well as unsuccessful videos came into being after the original video was released. However, from the looks of it, the trend is not going to die any soon. I recent version of this meme managed to go viral as it was performed by a cute cat similar to a fur ball in appearance. A 17-year-old (at that time when she shared the video) from Canada named Jade Taylor-Ryan shared this video of her cat named Ed. The video depicts the cat clapping, swirling, and spinning to the Mr. Sandman tune.

Jade even mentioned that she was inspired to name her cat Ed because the cat’s hair color is similar to that of Ed Sheeran. Ed is 4-years-old now. Since the video is a combination of three things people adore the most, which are cats, videos, and memes, it is clear why everyone has fallen head-over-heels in love with it.

The video managed to get more than 7 million views and about 1.5 million likes after it was shared. Jade has only been using TikTok for a short period and the idea to create this video came to her randomly. “Honestly, not much thought went into this video, I was just bored one night and I saw another user’s video using the 9-person filter and so I thought to myself, this would be funny if I did it with my cat and so I did!” she explained.

Jade never expected the video to receive such positive feedback and was surprised by the user’s reactions. People thought the video was cute as well as funny, and it brightened up their day. Have a look at the TikTok Video and let us know how you feel about it in the comment section below.
