Forgive yourself for every time you thought you were just not good enough. Forgive yourself for every time you forgot your worth.
Because you are the only person who has the power to forgive yourself. Because you are the only person who has the right to forgive yourself.
You have to forgive yourself for every time you respected someone when they did not deserve to be respected. Even when they did not respect you. Even when you respected them more than they respected you.
Forgive yourself for every time you loved someone more than they loved you.
Forgive yourself for every time you stayed in a toxic relationship. Forgive yourself for every time you stayed in a toxic relationship because you did not want to let go of the person you truly loved, the one you truly cared for. Forgive yourself for hoping that they would change.
Forgive yourself for fighting to keep someone in your life when they did not do the same when they did not care enough to fight for you.
Forgive yourself for every time you thought you could change someone just by loving them unconditionally. Forgive yourself for every time you gave priority to someone else’s happiness even when they did not even think of doing the same for you.
Forgive yourself for every time you tried so hard for someone who did not deserve it. Someone who did not deserve to be fought for, someone who did not deserve your attention, your tears, your patience, your kindness.
Forgive yourself for every time you thoughtless of you because of someone else’s negative comments. Because someone disrespected you because someone made you feel unimportant and weak.
Because you aren’t.
Because you are not unimportant. Because you are not weak.
You are strong. You are valuable. You are more than good enough.
So stop blaming yourself for what happened in the past. Forgive the past. Just learn from it and move on.
Be proud of yourself.
Be proud of yourself for going the extra mile. For doing so much for people, even when they did not deserve you. For sharing the innermost feeling of you, the deep-seated insecurities of your soul. And most importantly, for being honest with yourself.
