Are you someone who often get frustrated with the silly meaningless things? Do you feel funny about those pretentious behaviors of your friends? And do you curse often when you feel irritated? Well, you would probably have been criticized much by your parents and your closed ones for these behaviors of you, but studies suggest that these behaviors can actually be linked to an increase of your IQ.
Intelligent people curse more often.
We generally think that it is not good t use curse words and often we mind our tongue as not to use curse words in front of strangers and in unknown places. We think only those shabby, bad fellows use these words but the truth is not exactly this. A study done about the use of curse words challenge these myths about the usage of those words because it showed that the people who could name the most swear words within a minute also showed a higher IQ rate. The study concludes that a rich vocabulary of swear words is a sign of rhetorical strength.
Intelligent people are night owls.
There are people who like to stay up late at night and finish their works and this has also been identified as a sign of intelligence. It has been found out by science that there is a connection between people’s IQ rate and their willingness to work in late hours. President Obama, Charles Darwin, Winston Churchill, Keith Richards and Elvis Presley are some famous figures who were in the habit of working in late hours.
A messy desk and intelligence go hand in hand.
A study conducted by the University of Minnesota also has suggested that there is a connection between the people’s messiness and their intelligence. People who pay more attention to their works, often neglect their working tables letting it be a mess and this happens because they concentrate more on their work and not on cleanliness.
Kathleen Vohs, who is a psychological scientist says that “Disorderly environments seem to inspire breaking free of tradition, which can produce fresh insights. Orderly environments, in contrast, encourage convention and playing it safe.”
So are you an intelligent person?
